Fat Bird’s signature chicken pot features bite-sized chicken pieces cooked over high flame. Flavours are locked in from within without compromising on the texture, giving it a rich and savoury taste. Enjoy it like a traditional hotpot by topping up the pot with a flavoursome broth of your choice and add your preferred sides selections. The use of free-roaming kampung chicken is chosen for its succulence and freshness. The lean yet tender kampung chicken has less fat than a regular chicken and because it takes slightly longer to mature, thus the meat offers a more satisfying bite. Bite-size chicken meat are cooked with a special sauce. This secret recipe sauce (comprising of red chilli oil, and a spicy chilli paste made up from 13 herbs and spices) is pre-prepared using dry wok cooking method. This cooking method uses dry heat to bring out the aroma of the spices. Nutmeg, tsaoko, star anise, bay leaves and other ingredients form the basic flavour of the signature dish. After eating the chicken, diners can opt to add soup and additional vegetables to enjoy it like a traditional hotpot.
